A male is currently detained in a North Dublin Garda station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007, in relation to a shooting incident in Darndale, Coolock on the 22nd May 2019

An Garda Síochána are appealing for witnesses in relation to a fatal shooting incident that occurred at a laneway adjacent to Our Lady Immaculate National School, Darndale, Dublin 17, on 22/05/2019 at approximately 4pm. A man in his 20s was shot a number of times and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
An incident room has been established at Coolock Garda Station. We are appealing for anyone who was in the area shortly before 4pm to contact Gardaí in Coolock Garda Station on 01 666 4200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
