Gardaí at Pearse Street are appealing for witnesses following an alleged assault incident on South Great Georges Street, Dublin on 23/7/19.
At approximately 2.45am while on patrol on South Great Georges Street Gardaí came the assistance of a man (20s) with a serious head injuries. He was taken to St James Hospital for treatment. (His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.)
A man aged in his late teens was arrested in connection with the incident a short time later and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Pearse Street Garda Station. The scene is preserved for technical examination and enquires are ongoing.
