A 32-year-old man has died following an alleged assault incident at the Square Killorglin in the early hours on Sunday morning (10/2/2019). He was pronounced dead at Cork University Hospital earlier today (11/2/2019).
The local Coroner and office of the State Pathologist have been notified. A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out tomorrow. Investigating Gardaí say the results of the post-mortem will determine the course of their investigation and are renewing their appealing for witnesses.
Gardaí are particularly appealing to those who were in the vicinity of the The Square, Killorglin in the early hours of Sunday morning to contact them. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an alleged assault that occurred in the early hours of this morning Sunday 10th February, 2019 on The Square, Killorglin, Kerry at approximately 2.20a.m. A man in his early 30s was seriously assaulted during an incident. The man was removed to University Hospital Kerry and his condition is described as critical.
