Serious Road Traffic Collision Clifden Co. Galway December 26, 2019
Gardaí in Clifden, Co Galway are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision that occurred Thursday 26 December, 2019. At approximately 5.15pm this evening, Gardaí and emergency services attended at the scene of a collision involving two cars on the Clifden Road, 3kms from Leenane Village, Co Galway.
Eight people in total were taken to University Hospital Galway with non life threatening injuries. One male received serious injuries and his condition is unknown at this time.
The scene is currently preserved for examination by Garda forensic collision investigators and the road will remain closed overnight to traffic, with local diversions in place.
