Gardaí are investigating the serious assault of a female in her early 30s that occurred at a residence in Arklow, County Wicklow at approximately 4.25am this morning Saturday 14th December 2019.
The female was brought to St Vincent's Hospital with serious injuries. She is currently in critical condition.
Gardaí are following a definite line of enquiry in connection with this assault.
No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí in Wicklow are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have information in relation to this incident to come forward.
Gardaí are also appealing to any road users who may have camera footage who were travelling in the Arklow area between 4am and 5am to contact Gardaí.
