Gardaí have arrested and charged a man in his 20s in relation to a robbery at a shop on the Lower Glanmire Road, Cork on the 28th November, 2019.
At approximately 6.45am, a man entered the shop and walked behind the counter. He was confronted by a staff member and a struggle ensued. The man threatened staff and demanded cash from the till. He then left the scene with a sum of money. The staff member was not injured during the incident.
An investigation was carried out by Gardaí in Mayfield and a man in his 20s was arrested in Cork yesterday, 12th December. He was detained at Mayfield Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and has since been charged. He is due to appear before Cork City District Court this morning at 10.30am.
