A man in his 30s is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice, Court 2, this morning Thursday December 26, 2019 at 10.30am, charged in relation to a house fire in the Beechmount Estate, Navan last night December 25, 2019.

Gardaí in Navan are investigating all of the circumstances of a fire that occurred at a house in Beechmount Estate, Navan on Wednesday December 25, 2019.
At approximately 9am Gardaí and local fire and emergency services attended at the scene of a house fire at Beechmount Grove. No persons were home at the time of the fire and no one was injured. Two adjoining houses and their occupants were evacuated to safety.
The fire was brought under control by fire services and the scene was preserved for examination by Garda scenes of crime officers.
A man in his 30s has since been arrested and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Navan Garda Station.
