Cash-in-transit robbery Dublin 10/12/2019

Gardaí at Kevin Street are appealing for information following a cash-in-transit robbery in Dublin.  

The incident occurred at Cornmarket, Dublin 8, at approximately 5.20am when a lone male approached and threatened two security staff members outside a financial institution. The man fled for the scene on foot with a cash box containing an undisclosed sum of cash. It’s understood he was armed with a hand gun. 

Security staff were delivering cash to an ATM outside the bank when the robbery occurred.  

No shots were fired and there was no one physically harmed during the incident. No arrests have been made to date and enquiries are ongoing.
