On the 21st August 2019, as part of intelligence led operation targeting Organised Crime Groups operating in the South inner Dublin city area, a joint Operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Gardai from the Drugs Unit in Kevin Street, and the Revenue’s Customs Service.
During the course of this operation, a package containing approximately 464 grams of Herbal Cannabis, with an estimated value of €9,280 (subject to analysis), was seized by Customs Officers at an apartment in the South Inner city.
Gardai arrested a female, aged 27, at the scene and she is currently detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act 1996 at Kevin Street Garda Station.
Investigations are continuing. No further details will issue.
