Gardaí investigating the seizure of cannabis herb (subject to analysis) at Tallanstown, Ardee, Co. Louth on the 23rd of November 2018 have charged a 46 year old male in connection with the seizure and he will appear before a special sitting of Dundalk District Court at 1.30pm this afternoon, Sunday the 25th of November 2018.

On Friday the 23rd of November 2018 at approximately 8pm as part of ongoing investigations targeting serious criminal activity in the Louth Division being conducted by local Gardaí supported by the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, a premises was searched in Tallanstown, Ardee, Co. Louth. During this planned search operation Cannabis Herb (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of €600,000 was seized.
One male, aged 46 was arrested in connection with this investigation and is currently detained at Drogheda Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2, Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
