Gardai in Pearse Street are investigating the robbery from a person on Mount Street Upper on the 13th August 2018. A large quantity of cash and cigarettes (€700.00) were taken.
On the 13th August 2018 at approximately 6.50pm the injured party, a male in his 50's got out of his car on Mount Street Upper he walked towards the junction of Mount Street and Fitzwilliam Street Lower junction when he was a short distance from the junction he was approached by another male who grabbed a package that the injured party was carrying. A struggle ensued and the injured party was threatened by the male. The male managed to wrangle the package from the injured party and ran off in the direction of Stephen's Lane and Verschoyle Place, Dublin 2.
The suspect is described as:
5'9" or 5'10" in height, late 20's or early 30's, stocky build, dark brown hair and Dublin accent. He was wearing a grey sweat pants, grey sweatshirt(possibly has blue wording on the front of it), a baseball cap with blue on the front of it
The injured party suffered minor injuries during the incident.
