Gardaí at Louisburgh Co Mayo are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at The Quay, Clare Island, Westport, Co Mayo at approximately 1am this morning, Sunday August 5th 2018.
A male teenager (age not specified and only occupant) was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
This stretch of road has been closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
