Gardaí are seeking witnesses following an alleged assault on a teenaged boy in Tipperary Town shortly before 11pm on Thursday 9th November 2017.
The injured boy was found with serious head injuries at Lakelands, Tipperary Town at 10.50pm. The injured boy was removed to South Tipperary General Hospital where he is described as in a serious condition.
A juvenile male has been arrested and is detained at Tipperary Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them at Tipperary Garda Station on 062 80670. We would ask anyone who was in the Lakelands/Roseanna Road areas of Tipperary Town between 10pm and 11pm to contact us.
