A man in his 20s seriously injured in a hit and run collision on Hazelwood Drive, Kilmore, Dublin 5 on 8/3/17 (Previous Press Release 238/17 attached refers) was pronounced dead at Beaumont Hospital last night (9/3/17)
A 30 year old man is currently assisting Gardaí with their investigations at Coolock Garda Station.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information, particularly those who may have observed a white coloured Renault Megane van in the Coolock area prior to or following the collision, most notably the Hazelwood and Beechlawn areas between 9pm-10.30pm, to contact them at Coolock Garda Station on 01 6664200, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury hit and run road traffic collision that occurred at Hazelwood Drive, Kilmore, Coolock, Dublin last night, Wednesday 8th March 2017 shortly after 9.45pm.
A man, late 20s, suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a vehicle described as being a white Renault Megane van. The man was out jogging at the time of the collision. The vehicle failed to remain at scene. The man received medical assistance at the scene before being taken to Beaumont Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
The road was closed to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators but has since reopened.
A short time later a vehicle was discovered burnt out at Beechlawn Grove, Coolock close to Parnell's GAA Club. This vehicle was seized for technical examination.
