Three people have died following an apartment fire in Clondalkin, Dublin 22 this morning.
Gardaí and fire services attended the scene of the fire at Cluainin Cronan, Clondalkin 22 at approximately 2.30am this morning (8/3/16)
Five people were in the apartment at the time of the fire, two adult females and three children (two females & one male)
A 27 year old female and two female children (2yrs & 3 yrs) were taken to Tallaght Hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. A adult female in her 30s was taken to St James Hospital and a 4 year old boy was taken to Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin, their condition is described as critical.
Seven residents of nearby apartments have been evacuated.
The scene is sealed off and a technical examination of the area will take place later today
