Gardaí at Dungarvan, Co Waterford investigating the murder of Paddy Lyons have charged a male (26 years) in connection with the murder. He will appear before Dungarvan District Ct. at 10.30am this morning the 1st March 2017.

Gardaí at Dungarvan, Co Waterford investigating the murder of Paddy Lyons have arrested a male in his 20's in connection with the murder. He was arrested this afternoon(27th February) in Waterford and is currently being detained at a Waterford Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.

Gardaí in Dungarvan are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death of a 90-year-old man following the discovery of a body at a house in Ballysaggart, Lismore, Co. Waterford.
Gardaí were called to the scene shortly after 5pm yesterday evening (25/2/2017). The man was pronounced dead a short time later and his body remains at the scene which is currently preserved. The State Pathologist has been notified and investigating Gardaí have also sought assistance from the Garda Technical Bureau.
The course of the investigation will be determined by the outcome of a post mortem examination.
