Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the N60 at Logatemple, Claremorris, Co.Mayo at 1 am on Saturday 24th June 2017.
A man in his 80s, a pedestrian, was fatally injured following a collision with a car. The driver and two passengers in the car were uninjured. The body of the deceased has been taken to Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar where a post mortem examination will be carried out.The road at the scene is closed to facilitate an examination of the crash site by Garda Forensic Collision investigators. Diversions are in place between Claremorris and Balla.Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Claremorris Garda Station on 094 9372080.
