Update re Arrests Dissident Republican Activity in Dublin 2nd June, 2017.
As part of the going operation by Gardaí into the activities of dissident republicans, that occurred on Friday 2nd June, 2017 the two arrested men (21 years & 28 years) have had their period of detention extended and remain in custody.
A significant amount of suspected explosives were found in the car.
In a follow up search that took place later yesterday evening in Dublin , a third man (55 years) was arrested and he is currently detained at Raheny Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939, as amended.
All three men remain in custody.
