Gardaí have arrested a man in his teens, in connection with an serious assault on a man that occurred on Crane Lane, Dublin 2 at approximately 3.30a.m. this morning Saturday 22nd July, 2017. A man in his early 30s, was stabbed by a number of youths who has robbed his phone. A taxi man assisted the injured man and took him to St. James Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries. His injuries are not life threatening. A description of the culprits was circulated to Gardaí and an arrest was made a short time later. The scene was located and was preserved. The phone was recovered when the arrest was made. The arrested man is currently detained at Pearse Street Garda Station, under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
