Gardaí from the Cork Divisional Drug Unit have charged one male in connection with the seizure below and he has been taken to appear before Cork District Ct this afternoon the 1st February 2017.
The other male continues to be questioned.

Gardaí from the Cork Divisional Drug Unit have seized 5.5 kilos of cannabis herb(subject to analysis) with a street value of €110,000 and arrested two men in Douglas, Co Cork.
The seizure was made on foot of a planned search at a house in Cogan's Cottages, Ballinlough Road, Douglas on the afternoon of the 31st January 2017.
The two men (1 in his late 50s, 1 who is 30) were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Anglesea Street Garda station under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
