A 26-year-old man arrested in connection with the homicide of 22-year-old Amy McCarthy was this afternoon (2/8/17) released without charge.
A file will now be prepared for the information of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Previous Press Release is attached for information.

Gardaí in Bridewell, Cork have arrested a man (26 years) in relation to the homicide of 22-year-old Amy McCarthy whose body was discovered at a premises on Shears Street, Cork on the 30th April, 2017.
The man was arrested this morning in the midlands and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Bridewell Garda Station.
