Gardaí are investigating a shooting incident in Ballymun

Gardaí and emergency services are at the scene of a shooting incident at Balbutcher Drive in Ballymun, Dublin 11.The incident was reported to Gardaí shortly before 4pm on August 16th 2017. On arrival at the scene Gardaí discovered a woman and a man suffering from apparent serious gunshot wounds.

A woman in her 40s and a man in his 30s are being treated for serious injuries at the scene.

Two others a woman and a man are being treated for less serious injuries at the Mater Hospital. A silver Opel Zafira with 08 LS plates was found partially burnt out a short distance from the scene.

The area is sealed off pending the arrival of Garda Scenes of Crime Examiners.
