The male in his 60’s who was detained at Listowel Garda Station in connection with the death of a male in his 70’s is scheduled to appear before Tralee District Court at 10.30am this morning (5/4/2017) charged in connection with the death.

Gardaí in Listowel are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death of a man following a collision involving a car and a teleporter vehicle.
The incident occurred in Rattoo, Ballyduff, Co Kerry.
At approximately 8:45am Gardaí and Emergency Services were called to the scene of a collision involving a car and teleporter vehicle. The driver of the car, a male in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the teleporter was uninjured. The Garda Technical Bureau and the State Pathologist have been requested to attend the scene.
A man in his 60s has been arrested by investigating Gardaí and is currently detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Listowel Garda Station.
