Cannabis Herb €500,000 seized in Kildare 5th April 2017
As part of an operation targeting the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs, Gardaí from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau supported by the Special Crime Task Force have seized cannabis herb with an estimated value of €500,000, pending analysis.
25 kilos of cannabis herb was seized following the search of two vehicles at a shopping centre close to Kildare Town yesterday evening, Wednesday 5th April 2017 shortly before 7.30pm. Two men, late 30s, were arrested at scene. They are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Naas Garda Station.
