Gardaí at Tallaght are appealing for witnesses following the discovery of the body of a man, aged in his 60s, close to a forest track on Ballinascorney Hill, near the Ballinascorney Rd Upper, Brittas on the 30th Sept 2016.
The man had been reported missing from the area on the 29th Sept 2016
Gardaí are conducting a murder investigation following a post mortem at Tallaght Hospital and the services of the State Pathologist had been sought. Gardaí are conducting a witness appeal near the scene today at 3pm.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the general area of Ballinascorney Hill, or Ballinascorney Road Upper between 6.30am on the 29th and 4am on the 30th September to contact the incident room at Tallaght Garda station on 01-666000 or the Garda Confidential 1800-666-111. No further information at this time.
