The Garda National Property Recovered Day will take place on Thursday 22nd September 2016.
While most property recovered by An Garda Síochána is immediately returned to its owners, particularly in the recovery of property stolen in the course of theft and burglaries, there are cases where An Garda Síochána is unable to identify the owner and the property remains in Garda custody.
Members of the public are invited to attend selected Garda stations around the country on the 22/9/16 where photographs of property in Garda custody can be viewed. Viewing of the physical property can then be scheduled at a later date as needed.
The public can also view All images from each Division on www.garda.ie from the morning of the 22/9/16 and thereafter.
In addition the public will be able to avail of the services of Crime Prevention Officers, Victims Services and Age Action Ireland at selected station.
Full details of locations, times and services provided at each venue can be viewed now at www.garda.ie
Property in garda custody range from skis in Co. Kerry to chalices in Co. Longford.
