Fatal road traffic collision Navan Rd, Cabra Dublin 7 on the 4th Sept 2016

Gardaí in Cabra can confirm that the elderly female pedestrian involved in a collision earlier this morning the 4th September on the Navan Road has died in hospital. 
The male driver (39 years) has been released from Finglas Garda station and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
 
The road remains closed and it is expected to reopen around 1.30pm later today. Motorist are also to be advised that there are road works on Blackhorse Avenue and this should not be used as an alternative route.
