Gardai in Ballygar are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R363 at Islandcase, Ballygar at approximately 1.30pm on the 19/09/16.
A male in his 40’s was fatally injured when the car he was driving left the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The female passenger in her 40’s was taken to Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe with injuries described as non life threatening.
The road was closed for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.
