An Garda Siochana in conjunction with Dublin City Council and Revenue Custom Services are involved in an ongoing operation today searching a number of containers at a storage yard in City West.
During the course of this search a large amount of stolen vehicle parts were discovered at this early stage it is difficult to put a value on the car parts but Gardai are confident they have located the component parts of at least five high end vehicles, along with other vehicle parts yet to be identified.
Gardai also discovered 200,000 cigarettes and 19 bales of tobacco with an estimated value of €130,000. Over 100 bottles of champagne and a small sum of cash have been also been seized. Garda and Customs are interviewing a man (27 years) at Tallaght Garda station. As this is an ongoing operation there is no further information available at this time.
