Gardaí have charged a man, 27 years, in connection with the seizure of cannabis herb at Blanchardstown this morning.
He is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court 1 tomorrow morning, Friday 21st October 2016 at 10.30am.
The man was arrested this morning, Thursday 20th October 2016 following the planned search of a premises in the Huntstown area, Dublin 15. Cannabis herb with an estimated value of €74,000, pending analysis, was seized during the search. He was detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. He remains in Garda Custody.

On the 20th October shortly before 9am, as part of surveillance led operation targeting the illegal sale and supply of drugs, Garda from Blanchardstown executed a search warrant in the Huntstown area of Blanchardstown.
Approximately €74,000 of cannabis (pending analysis) was seized as part of this operation and a male in his late 20s is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 (as amended) at Blanchardstown.
Investigations are ongoing.
