On the 7th October, as part of intelligence led joint operations, targeting the illegal importation, sale and supply of drugs, involving Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Garda Drugs Units from Store Street and Blanchardstown, a number of houses were searched in the Ballybough and Mulhuddart areas of the city.
A quantity of controlled drugs, including approximately 3.75Kgs of liquid amphetamine and 2kgs of cocaine, were seized. The combined value of the drugs is approximately €200,000 (pending analysis).
Two males, aged 51 and 43 were arrested by Gardaí in Blanchardstown and one male aged 56 was arrested by Gardai in Store Street.
All 3 are currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 (as amended) at Blanchardstown and Store Street garda stations.
Investigations are ongoing.
