Gardaí investigating an armed robbery at a premises in Rialto on the 17th November 2016 have charged a 29 year old male in connection with the robbery.
He will appear before Court No.2 Criminal Courts of Justice Parkgate Street at 4.30pm today the 18th November 2016.

Gardaí investigating an armed robbery at a premises in Rialto on the 17th November 2016 have arrested and detained a 29 year old male in connection with the robbery.
At approximately 1.05pm on the 17th November 2016 a male entered a premises on South Circular Road, Rialto armed with what was believed to be a hand gun. He threatened staff and demanded cash. He stole a sum of cash. This male was wearing a black jacket, blue tracksuit bottoms with a grey stripe down the legs and blue runners. His face was covered in a white cloth type of clothing.
The culprit was observed leaving the shop turning right and then taking the second right down New Ireland Road.
Gardaí from Kevin Street Detective Unit, local units and members of the Divisional Crime Task Force responded to the call and began a search of the Dry Dock area off New Ireland Road, they observed a male run into the bushes. This male was subsequently arrested and conveyed to Kilmainham Garda station where he is currently detained under the provisions section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended. During a search of the area a firearm and a sum of money was recovered.
