Gardaí have charged a man, 39 years, in connection with the seizure heroin with an estimated value of €30,000, pending analysis.
He is due to appear before Limerick District Court this morning, Friday 27th May 2016 at 10.30am.
The drugs were seized following the planned search of a premises in O'Malley Park, Limerick City on Monday 23rd May 2016 as part of an operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Limerick City area.
Gardaí arrested the 39 year old man on Tuesday 24th May 2016. He was detained at Roxboro Road Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. He remains in Garda custody.
