Gardaí have charged two women, aged 44 and 46 years, in connection with an intelligence led operation that took place today, Tuesday 22nd March 2016 in the Garda Divisions of Waterford and Wexford.
The two women were charged this afternoon and released from Garda custody on bail. They are due to appear before Donegal District Court tomorrow morning, Wednesday 23rd March 2016 at 10.30am.
The two women were arrested this morning during an operation targeting an organised criminal gang operating nationally and in the South Eastern Region of the country. They were detained at Enniscorthy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. During co-ordinated searches property, believed to be stolen, with an estimated value of €75,000 was recovered and seized by Gardaí.
Over 80 Gardaí took part in a total of 9 co-ordinated searches with the assistance of the Criminal Assets Bureau, Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit, Garda Air Support and Officers from Revenue Custom and Excise.

Gardai have arrested two women, as part of the intelligence led operation that occured this morning in the Waterford and Wexford Divisions targeting the investigation of an Organised Criminal Gang operating nationally and in the South Eastern Region.
The searches resulted in what is believed to be stolen property to the value of €75,000 being recovered and seized by Gardai. Two women (both in mid 40's) were arrested and are currently detained at Enniscorthy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

As part of an intelligence led operation, a co-ordinated search operation is currently taking place, in the Waterford and Wexford Divisions targeting the investigation of an Organised Criminal Gang operating nationally and in the South Eastern Region.
The operation has over 80 Gardaí taking part in a total of 9 co-ordinated searches with the assistance of the Criminal Assets Bureau, Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit, Garda Air Support and Officers from Revenue Custom and Excise.
