Today the 9th March 2016 the Criminal Assets Bureau conducted a search operation at eighteen separate locations, including residential, commercial and professional offices including offices of Solicitor’s and Accountants.
The search operation resulted in the seizure of twenty nine vehicles and six motorcycles. A number of items of jewellery which are believed to be of considerable value and cash in excess of €30,000 have been seized. The search operation has now been completed.
The operation was conducted as part of an on-going investigation into organised crime groups which is being conducted by the Criminal Assets Bureau. The Bureau was assisted in the operation by personnel from the following Garda Units:
1. The Emergency Response Unit
2. Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau
3. Special Detective Unit
4. Dublin Metropolitan South Division
5. Dublin Metropolitan North Central Division
6. Garda Síochána Technical Bureau
7. Garda Operational Support Unit.
Assistance has also been provided by the Revenue Customs service.
