Gardaí last night, Wednesday 22nd June 2016 charged three people, two men, 21 and 49 years and a woman, 22 years, in connection with a burglary that occurred at a shop in Athlone, Co Westmeath on Sunday evening 19th June 2016.
They are due to appear before Mullingar District Court this morning, Thursday 23rd June 2016 at 10.30am.
A large amount of cash was taken during the Burglary.
The man, 21 years and woman, 22 years were arrested on Tuesday 21st June 2016 in the area of Clara, County Offaly. The second man, 49 years was arrested yesterday also in the Clara area. All three were detained at Athlone Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 as amended.
Gardaí have recovered a substantial amount of cash during this investigation.
