As part of Operation Thistle, targeting organised criminals in Dublin South City Centre, Gardaí from the Kevin Street Drugs Unit have seized heroin (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of €1.4 million and cannabis herb, (subject to analysis) with a estimated value of €10,000.
Gardaí carried out a planned search of a premises within the Kevin Street District yesterday Wednesday, June 1st 2016.
One man in his 30’s was arrested and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice, (Drug Trafficking), Act, 1996 at Kevin Street Garda Station.
