Gardaí in Togher investigating a shooting incident which occurred in a house on Plunkett Road, Ballyphehane at approximately 4.30pm on the 26th April 2016 have arrested a male.
A male in his 40’s was arrested in the Cork area this morning in connection with the incident and is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Togher Garda Station.

Gardaí in Togher are investigating a shooting incident which occurred in a house on Plunkett Road, Ballyphehane at approximately 4.30pm today the 26th April 2016.
A 41 year old male was pronounced dead at the scene and his remains have been removed to the morgue at Cork University Hospital, where a post mortem is expected to take place tomorrow the 27th April.
Gardaí are not looking for anyone in relation to the incident at this time. Investigations are on-going.
