Gardaí have charged a man, 31 years, in connection with an investigation into organised criminal activity in the Southern Region.
He is due to appear before a special sitting of Kilmallock District Court this afternoon, Sunday 3rd July 2016 at 4pm.
The man was arrested at Shanagolden, Co Limerick on Wednesday morning 29th June 2016 shortly before 3am as part of an on-going intelligence led operation targeting organised criminals operating in the South of the country. He was detained at Henry Street Garda Station, Limerick City under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 as amended. He remains in Garda custody.
