Gardaí have charged a man, 29 years, in connection with a drug seizure that occurred at Aston Quay, Dublin 2 on Friday 29th July 2016 at approximately 8pm.
The man has been released from Garda custody and is due to appear before Dublin District Court, Criminal Courts of Justice at a later date.
A second man, aged in his 20’s, arrested in connection with this investigation remains in Garda custody at Store Street Garda Station detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
The two men were arrested as part of an operation investigating the sale and supply of Ecstasy and Cocaine in the Dublin City Centre area by Store Street Gardaí.
A follow up search was conducted at an apartment on D’Oiler Street, Dublin 2. During the course of this search Ecstasy Tablets, with a street value (subject to analysis) of €418,000 and Cocaine, with a street value (subject to analysis) of €24,000 was seized. A quantity of cash was also seized.
