As part of an operation targeting the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in Dublin South City Centre Gardaí have seized heroin valued at €84,000, pending analysis.
Gardaí from the Pearse Street Community Policing Unit seized the drugs following the planned search of a premises on York Street, Dublin 2, this afternoon, Saturday 9th July 2016 shortly before 2pm. They were assisted by the Pearse Street District Drugs and Detective Units.
One man, 30 years, was arrested at scene and is currently detained at Pearse Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
