Shortly before 2.50pm on the 18th July 2016, two masked men walked into a shop at Bawnogue Shopping Centre in Clondalkin, they were in possession of what was believed to be a firearm. They threatened staff and took an amount of cash.
The suspects left the scene and went in the direction of the Lealand estate. Local Gardaí assisted by the Burglary Response Unit and members from the Special Detective Unit, Harcourt Sq. went to the Lealand estate and entered a house where they found three males in their 20's.
They arrested the three males and recovered a sum of cash. The three males were taken to Clondalkin Garda station where they are being detained under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended. During a follow-up search a firearm was recovered.
