Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Tullaskeagh, Roscrea, Co Tipperary yesterday evening, Saturday 16th January 2016 at approximately 7.30pm.
A man, 37 years, suffered serious injuries when the car he was travelling in as a passenger collided with another car. He was taken to University Hospital Limerick where he was pronounced dead. A post mortem is to be arranged.
The driver of the this car, early 70's, and the three occupants of the second car, all male, were taken to University Hospital Limerick with non serious injuries.
The R445 West bound carriageway, (old N7) is currently closed at the Knock Road junction, Tullaskeagh to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Diversions are in place.
