Gardaí investigating a robbery which occurred on Main Street Duleek, County Meath this morning, Friday 5th February 2016 at approximately 10.15am are appealing for witnesses.
As cash in transit security staff were transferring cash to a business premises they were approached and threatened by two men. One of the men was believed to be armed with an iron bar. The two raiders took an amount of cash and fled the scene in a van described as being a Silver Ford Transit with a partial registration number 01 WW. Both men were wearing balaclavas and are not better described.
The van travelled through Main Street Duleek in the direction of Drogheda and was discovered a short time later, burnt out, at the rear of the old grave yard, Duleek.
