Gardaí have arrested three men and seized suspected stolen property during an operation at Rosslare Europort last evening 25th February 2016.
At 9.30pm on 25th, during a joint operation between Gardaí and Revenue's Customs officers at Rosslare Europort, a white Mercedes lorry was stopped as it was about to board a ferry departing Rosslare for Cherbourg. An initial search of the lorry revealed what Gardaí believed to be stolen property.
During a further search of the lorry property including bicycles, power tools and garden machinery and beer kegs were discovered. The approximate monetary value of the property seized is in the region of €70,000.
The occupants of the vehicle, three men in their 20s and 30s and all Romanian nationals with addresses in Ireland, were arrested at the scene. They are detained at Wexford Garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
