Gardaí at Store Street have recovered a firearm and arrested a man during a search operation in Dublin.
As part of ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in Dublin’s north inner city, Gardaí from the Drugs Units attached to Store Street carried out a search at a house in the Dublin 1 area yesterday afternoon (17/2/16). During the course of the search Gardaí discovered a firearm (9mm hand gun) and a small quantity of cannabis (analysis pending). A moped reported stolen in January of this year was also recovered.
A male aged in his 20's was arrested at the scene. He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Store Street Garda Station.
