Gardai are investigating a 2 vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N18 at Clarinbridge, Co. Galway at approximately 8.30am this morning.
A woman in her 30’s was fatally injured when the car she was driving was involved in a collision with a truck. She was the sole occupant. She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body removed to University Hospital Galway.
This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Traffic travelling South on the N18 is being asked to divert at Oranmore. Traffic travelling North is being diverted at Kilcolgan.
