A woman in her 80s has died following a single vehicle collision in Co Cavan.
It’s believed the collision occurred yesterday evening (29/12/2016) when the car she was driving struck a ditch. Gardaí were called to the crash scene when the alarm was raised at approximately 10.45am this morning (30/12/2016). The collision occurred on a local road at Keenagh near Ballyjamesduff.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her body has since been removed to Our Lady’s Hospital Navan for a post-mortem examination. The local Coroner has been notified. The scene has been examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
