Gardaí at Fermoy are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred on N72 Fermoy to Ballyhooely Road at approximately 8am this morning (Monday 5th December 2016).
A male (early 20’s) only occupant of a car was pronounced dead at the scene when his car was in collision with a 4 X 4 vehicle. The driver and two passengers in the 4 X4 vehicle have been taken to Cork University Hospital.
The scene is preserved and Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will conduct their investigations this morning. The stretch of road is currently closed and local diversions are in place.
