Gardaí have seized drugs with an estimated street value of €1.1m and arrested four males during an operation in west Dublin on 30th November 2016.
As part of ongoing investigations targeting serious criminal activity in the Dublin Region a planned operation was carried out in the Clondalkin area yesterday evening (30/11/2016) by the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau. During the operation Gardaí intercepted two cars and searched apartment. Approximately 12kgs of MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) powder along with 3kgs of heroin was seized.
Four males, ranging in age from 30's to 60's, were arrested as part of the investigation. They are currently detained at Clondalkin and Ronanstown Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. (They can be detained for up to 7 days.)
The combined street value of the controlled drugs seized is estimated at €1,100,000 (pending analysis).
